I got a random email from an old friend, and what a nice surprise it was. Kent and I have known each other so long that we sang the Blues Brothers cover of Soul Man together when it was in the charts. Good to hear from him, since I'd be too chicken shit to contact any old school friends.


I read an article last night that suggested sociopaths do very well in the corporate world....of course they do. When being simply selfish isn't good enough.

Yesterday I got two postcards from two different companies stating that the gifts I ordered will be on backorder until Jan 27, and Feb 2 respectively. This is a bit of a pet peeve for me. When I place an order online you should 1. be able to tell me if it's not in stock right then and there, but baring that 2. you should email me as soon as you know there is a problem, not snail mail! They have my email correct, they sent me order acknowledgements, but when it's time to break the bad news they send snail mail. WTF? So I will spend tomorrow in a scramble to get replacement gifts lined up.
